Oregon's Favorite Main Street
"The festival has been taking over the small downtown for the last 17 years, bringing in throngs of tourists and locals alike for four days of UFO-themed festivities. There are lectures, live bands, vendors and balls, but the highlight of the weekend is Saturday's alien-themed parade, run by the McMinnville Downtown Association, which winds through the streets of the town.
People packed the sidewalks, four-deep in some places, to get a view of the costumed paraders. There were plenty of big-headed green creatures and Star Wars characters throughout the 30-minute procession, but they walked among sights more unusual."
